i don't disagree, though i think their roster depth with langford returning is a barrier to minutes needed for postseason accolades. it's kind of the reason that i'm apprehensive about bumping liddell further up the list.

I've seen a far number of people and publications predicting that Walker starts. If Walker starts, its hard to see Carton getting more than 20 minutes a game because I don't see them playing together that much.

But, if DJ is clearly the best frosh in the league this year, I don't see how he doesn't start. Now, maybe Holt will want to start off the year with some stability and experience, but DJ is one of the major keys to how much success this team has this year.

Holtmann keeps saying he likes old guys running the team, don't be surprised to see one starting at arguably the most integral position on the court

I dont really care who starts. This is one of the first seasons, since maybe the Thad 5, where I have a ton of confidence in the first line of reserves. Hell, maybe our best shooter Ahrens is going to be in that group and we have a 7 footer that's improving according to local eyes on the situation so he at least becomes a serious problem for opponent offenses. This is going to be a fun year!

since inside leaks have been pretty much non-existent under ho1tmann, i'm assuming you're referring to some player comments at media day. am i wrong?
Mostly but I know some former local talent that plays pickup with a lot of the guys that say he is nowhere near as clumsy as he looked a while back and seems his confidence is just growing. I guess I just hung out in the right bars and bought enough drinks to get a scoop once in a while. LOL

if diallo can provide a reliable 8 minutes of solid defense and rebounding, that would be a major boost to the team. and in regards to the 2020-21 season, diallo and key might just be a compatible pairing underneath. pretty much no overlap between the two.
