2018 Week 7 CFB Open Thread

Oh, for sure. As far as a decade for music, the 80’s and 60’s are unparalleled. I have virtually zero love for 60’s music, but I recognize its place in history.

Thankfully, it got to see most of the 80s band before they started sucking, many of them at the Newport. Did see the Replacements play a Mats show (drunk as fuck) in Athens tho.

70s, Dude. Punk. Soul. Funk. The germination of hip-hop. Disco when it was an organic NYC thing before it was commercialized (i.e. Bee Gees). Like the 80s though, the best music of that generation never made it to the radio.

Another example of why "ranked at the time" is a monumentally stupid way to measure a team.

If it was up to me, the CFP committee wouldn't meet or release rankings until the end of the season. Thank fuck the AP assholes aren't picking them based on how good they thought some shit team was on September 5th.

you mean like that top 10 match up between Auburn and Washington?

What do they have between them now, 4 or 5 losses?

Myself and a girl down the floor dragged a group to see the Ramones at The Newport in 1985. You knew who was cool by who went upstairs and who went into the mosh pit. And then there were those that thought we meant The Romantics. They were beyond redemption.

I saw the Ramones at Newport in 1985. :drunks:
