2018 Week 7 CFB Open Thread

Did you rock the Lee Iacocca shirt with the contrasting cuffs and collar too....suspenders are assumed.

Nah, that never made sense to me. Cracks me up when I still see old dudes wearing that shit today.

I can't take them seriously, and just assume they're easy prey for negotiating a deal. That usually proves true.

Yep! I had a moronic, neo-deadhead roommate at the time who acted like he discovered this new band. I gave him my, "you're too stupid to live" look.

Those were the same shit bags who mocked me for hanging out at Mustard's in 1984 listening to Gloria and I Will Follow.

ESPN ticker keeps noting that this was LSU's 3rd win over an AP top 10 team this year.

Auburn was ranked 21st coming into the game

They aren't even trying to hide it anymore. They just make whatever shit up they want to try and create the narrative they want to push.

It's propaganda at this point.

Guessing they meant at the time they played. Da u, auburn, and uga were all top 10 when they played lsu

This is true. REM before they sucked. The Replacements before they were too drunk to play and a hundred other bands that passed through Staches or the Newport. We had real alternative music that never played on the radio before the record companies discovered they could co-opt it for a buck.

Oh, for sure. As far as a decade for music, the 80’s and 60’s are unparalleled. I have virtually zero love for 60’s music, but I recognize its place in history.

Thankfully, it got to see most of the 80s band before they started sucking, many of them at the Newport. Did see the Replacements play a Mats show (drunk as fuck) in Athens tho.

Myself and a girl down the floor dragged a group to see the Ramones at The Newport in 1985. You knew who was cool by who went upstairs and who went into the mosh pit. And then there were those that thought we meant The Romantics. They were beyond redemption.

Another example of why "ranked at the time" is a monumentally stupid way to measure a team.

If it was up to me, the CFP committee wouldn't meet or release rankings until the end of the season. Thank fuck the AP assholes aren't picking them based on how good they thought some shit team was on September 5th.
