Dumb to reach, but just a bad call. No reason to call that a touchback and compounded by a terrible replay system that takes too long and only gets it right 50% of the time.

I love how the studio rules official was all about it being out of bounds and the minute the call is made is all about how clearly there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn....

if the standard is that the pylon is the endzone, then i don't know how you could conclude conclusively that absolutely no part of the ball went over the pylon but instead completely left of it.
