Not necessarily. Even with 8 teams you still have to win your conference. I'd bet they also guarantee the highest ranked Group of 5 conference champion a spot within the CFP too. My guess is they would almost certainly require a conference championship to get the automatic berth.

If you think Ohio State/Michigan isn't going to mean anything you're being dramatic. What happened to the "I don't care if Ohio State goes 1-11 so long as that 1 is scUM"?

Unfortunately Jalen Hurts is an idiot and never transferred.

He's not healthy either really and has barely played in 2 months.

Bama is better than UGA, but Hurts is going to be rusty.

I think Ohio State could win tonight by 70, but I still wouldn't think Ohio State is necessarily worthy of being a playoff team.
