White was a godsend but why a kid who can obviously take god angles and tackle has been sitting this long (and would still have been today if not for targeting and injuries) makes me doubt this defensive staff even more.

At this point I say clean house (except LJS obviously) in the of season. It won't happen but this is the watershed year where Meyer is going to have to decide between his personal loyalty to assistants and his job imo.

I suspect Schiano-Grinch is a replay of Fickell-Withers. Conflicting egos and philosophies trying to be joint DCs?
I don't know which one is Withers, but I have to say... seeing White step in and immediately play at a high level while we've struggled with Pryor and Wint all year... makes me think Grinch is not up to it.
Schiano is going to leave sooner or later, regardless.
Not impressed with Taver, Schiano, or Grinch so far. Bill Davis is right out.

You don't think its too soon to judge Grinch or Taver? TBH, Sheffield and Arnette were suspect last year. Okudah is honestly better than them both, and Wade could be in line with him, the dropoff at CB was to be expected, IMO

To me you can eliminate Schiano given his track record. That leaves Grinch, Davis and Taver

Taver/CB's: I just don't see the talent in Arnette and Sheffield. Wade and Okudah are a year away. Let's cal him neutral

Davis/LB's: don't get me fucking started. Important to find out who the fuck took 9 weeks to figure out the LB's at the heels of the DL on every play thing wasn't working.

Grinch/S's: I was neutral until I saw White play yesterday. Now I wonder what exactly in the fuck he's been doing.

If I am Urban, I see what Schiano is going to do and if it's
stay: then I nuke any and all defensive position coaches not named Larry Johnson
go: then I nuke any and all defensive position coaches not named Larry Johnson and raid CFB for the best and brightest that can work together. I would have said keep Grinch as DC given all the accolades he came with but the B White thing has just blown my mind.

I keep grinch either way. He needs time without Schiano around to prove himself. Both he and schaino are safeties coaches. I hate the Co DC titles. Nuke Davis,Schaino and Tavers. Keep LJ and Grinch. Remember he was about to land at Bama, Saban wanted him badly last year
