I posted this in the Matta thread but UNLV was trying to get him on the cheap. Anyhow, good for Thad. To me that was just not a very good fit. He will have better offers if he wants them.

I'm stunned. I thought for sure that extension they gave him a few weeks ago would keep him in Buffalo 5 more years.

I don't know if it was the players or the coach, but for a team with decent players, Buffalo a lot of times played extremely recklessly on offense. I am not going to be bullish on Nate Oats until he shows he can coach a team that plays under control, so I do not like that hire for Alabama, but we'll see.

Agree. Nebby hit it out of the park with this hire. Perfect fit for their program and how they can build rosters to compete with the top B1G teams. Hoiberg is going to OWN the transfer market.

Apparently they make their coaches fly commercial for the most part, which is a huge turn-off for a lot of coaches.
