2018-2019 B1G Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

Sure wish Sparty had shot their FTs like that against us. 30-37 (11-14 from Ward) vs. against IU 8-22 (1-9 from Ward). Are you freaking kidding me? And an Izzo team in Breslin let a Morgan-less IU team get 20 offensive rebounds? What?
Every team shoots free throws worse against other teams than they do against us but Ward was just ridiculous. We could have guarded him with Danny Hummer and probably would have beaten them. Really hard to figure out how good Sparty really is because if Winston does not put up huge numbers I just did not see them going as deep as most people have predicted.

I knew IU was bound to break out of their slump, but I didn’t expect it last night. Certainly some happy locals around here.

They’re still throwing out 3-4 4 stars and a 5 star most nights. That matters in basketball.

Hope they got it out of their system before the Bucks head to Assembly.

WTF is up with Sparty? 15 turnovers and down 10 at Illinois, and it's not even halftime.

Losing Langford seems to have made a big difference.

Sparty is falling off a cliff since the loss at Purdue. It is as if they were operating at their peak performance for most of January, and took a tough loss at Purdue when they still played well. Could have had some hangover from the Purdue loss deflating their confidence to an extent, but losing vs IU and at Illinois today, I would say fatigue may be slowing them down somewhat and they have fallen off of their peak.
