2017 Offensive Coordinator Discussion

Agreed he's an awesome coach but there were a number of projects on the OL he took in recruiting.

Not necessairly disagreeing but can you list a few? Only one popping into my head is Kevin Feder. I know he was given some MAJOR projects like Reid Fragel and Darryl Baldwin and turned them into quality starting RT's. That alone is impressive. The overall performance of the OL from '12-'14 was the best stretch in my lifetime

All that Feldman reports is the hiring of Day. To keep this fantasy alive, Day's hiring doesn't close the door to Kelly.

Anyway, in my IMO, there are two homerun coordinator hires out there...Wilson and Kelly. Kelly would be a 10, Wilson a 9.5.
Kelly would be gone in a year. Wilson would likely stick for at least 3. For that reason I'd take Wilson.

Don't disagree. To me, Kelly would be the better hire for 2017 simply because I firmly believe he's the best offensive mind in (college) football. Wilson is no consolation prize, though. Coordinated some terrific offenses at OU and IU always had creative offenses that gave many teams in the B1G (us included) fits despite a massive talent disparity.

Where are you getting this? So far it's still just a rumor (including the landof10 link)
His Wiki page was updated to show the hire. First line: "Kevin Reece Wilson (born October 23, 1961) is an American football college coach, former player and is currently the co-offensive coordinator at The Ohio State University."
