In fairness, Florida State was supposed to be really good
No no no no....
FSU WAS good when they played them, haven't you heard? Apparently Bama is so good they broke their QB.

We get Bowen back so that'll lessen losing at least 1 of the 2 starters... All out WRs, two amazing backs, 4 returning lineman, and a QB who's got a cannon.Next year, Meyer will be forced to embrace a new offense with a different ceiling. Losing some great players but exciting talent to step up.
OSU wasn't as inconsistent as people think though. The only bouts of inconsistency was the two weeks we played PSU and Iowa. The Iowa game looks more and more like the team was just dead tired physically and mentally from beating the #2 team at the time. You could include Michigan in there but how did Bama look against Auburn after getting pretty much a bye facing Mercer?Bottom line is this OSU team struggled coming to play every week.
The lack of focus, consistency, and discipline absolutely did this team in.
So we know there is little value to playing in a conference championship game. If you have 1 loss and solid wins you are better just sitting the conference championship out
No way man... tons of penalties, tons of turnovers, and as the year went JT got worse.OSU wasn't as inconsistent as people think though. Honestly the more I think about it the more I'm pissed lol. I know I shouldn't be, but I am.
not sure why you'd be bored. from a non-partisan point of view, oklahoma's offense versus clemson's defense would be compelling television.Well…
pus.
Clemson v. OU final
Pretty much say. You are like the AP and you vote based on what you eyes tell you. Don't bring up metrics then ignore them when they don't suit your eye test without any explaination. Don't lie to our face. Day you took Bama cause they don’t get blown out and are Bama. Don't try to tell us their resume was better.I would respect it a lot more if the committee would stop pretending they actually really look at anything but the eye test.
It's very clear they only say who they think is top 4 based off looks, they do not seriously factor in resume at all. That is my biggest complaint in all this, there is no consistency on why you place who were, the criteria seems to change whenever it's convenient. Last year we benefited from it, this year we lose from it.
I am still glad we got rid of the BCS. That Bama-LSU debacle did it for me.
You could make it 32 teams and #33 would complain. Look at March Madness every year.
Part me of thinks we were screwed the moment Bama lost to Auburn. Which is sad. But weeks ago I laid out the scenario for OSU to get in...and it involved Bama winning out. They didn't, and we got screwed because of it.
Like having the opportunity to beat the #4While of course I wanted them in there, they got what they deserved. Screw formulas and what not, [Mark May] you’re pants against Iowa, get left out. I could make arguments as a fan of tOSU to be in, but if I werent, I could probably make more not to be in. It is what it is.

I don't suppose there's any way we could play USC in the Cotton Bowl?
Miami in the Orange Bowl could be interesting.
Back to 8 conference games and you get week 12 open to schedule an fcs team.If OSU doesn't get in, Gene should immediately take the tough non conference games off our schedule and get Youngstown State in here
