2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Next year, Meyer will be forced to embrace a new offense with a different ceiling. Losing some great players but exciting talent to step up.
We get Bowen back so that'll lessen losing at least 1 of the 2 starters... All out WRs, two amazing backs, 4 returning lineman, and a QB who's got a cannon.

The offense will be BETTER next year hands down.

The defense? We will have Bosa Jones and Young up front along with about 4-6 others with massive playing time. We will have Borland and probably Baker back at LB with Booker or Harrison. Then the secondary will have Fuller, Sheffield, and Arnette back.

The depth on the DL won't be there like this year but on defense you have to think that's a top 10 unit

Bottom line is this OSU team struggled coming to play every week.

The lack of focus, consistency, and discipline absolutely did this team in.
OSU wasn't as inconsistent as people think though. The only bouts of inconsistency was the two weeks we played PSU and Iowa. The Iowa game looks more and more like the team was just dead tired physically and mentally from beating the #2 team at the time. You could include Michigan in there but how did Bama look against Auburn after getting pretty much a bye facing Mercer?

Honestly the more I think about it the more I'm pissed lol. I know I shouldn't be, but I am.

I would respect it a lot more if the committee would stop pretending they actually really look at anything but the eye test.

It's very clear they only say who they think is top 4 based off looks, they do not seriously factor in resume at all. That is my biggest complaint in all this, there is no consistency on why you place who were, the criteria seems to change whenever it's convenient. Last year we benefited from it, this year we lose from it.

No way man... tons of penalties, tons of turnovers, and as the year went JT got worse.

This team had such high if highs but when they weren't focused they could single handedly keep teams in games

Pretty much say. You are like the AP and you vote based on what you eyes tell you. Don't bring up metrics then ignore them when they don't suit your eye test without any explaination. Don't lie to our face. Day you took Bama cause they don’t get blown out and are Bama. Don't try to tell us their resume was better.

While of course I wanted them in there, they got what they deserved. Screw formulas and what not, [Mark May] you’re pants against Iowa, get left out. I could make arguments as a fan of tOSU to be in, but if I werent, I could probably make more not to be in. It is what it is.
Like having the opportunity to beat the #4
team in country by 5 touchdowns but instead it's a 6 point win coming down to a late INT to seal it.

Shit even UFM wasn't confident in this team... unlike 2014 when he said we were without a doubt a top 4 team this year it was just "I hope we get a chance"

More proof that Ohio State 2015 got screwed, and the committee won't make that mistake again.

And I'm fine with it.
