Already mentioned several times, the Rose Bowl is a semi-final CFB game this year between 2&3 so no Rose Bowl for the Buckeyes. Maybe the Sugar Bowl as the 4 seed.

But I'll just savor today's win until next Nov. regardless. :nod:

My best guess now that ND is gone:

1. Clemson
2. OU
3. Wisconsin (the CFP committee has to realign them big time this week, 1 game away from being an undefeated P5 champ)
4. Auburn/UGA
5. UGA/Auburn
6. Bama
7. Da U
8 OSU


IF
OU beats TCU
Clemson holds serve than Da U is gone
SEC CCG loser is gone (especially if UGA wins and Auburn has 3)
OSU beats UW

then you will have the 2 loss conference champ OSU vs 1 loss no champ Bama beauty contest everyone is going to be so interested by

OU or Clemson get upset then fuck me running...no idea but wouldn't be good for OSU

So here's what I want to happen ... just for fun and assuming the Buckeyes are out regardless.

Georgia curb stomps Auburn! making 'bama's schedule look even weaker.
The U beats Clemson just because.
The Sooners lose and Mayfield gets carted off just because.
The Buckeyes beat Wisky by one point. Two would be better. Urban hands the B1G trophy to JT. :urban2:

Georgia or Auburn will lose again... so will Clemson or Miami and we will pass ND.

It'll boil down to are we better then bama... our resume is better

Three T25 Ws, 2 of them T10 - compared with Bama's resume which is clearly lesser in quality Ws - in my mind has to outweigh a .5 game overall record advantage for Bama. And yes, Bama is just like 2015 OSU. Win and OSU is in, if there is any justice in the college football world. No big margin necessary.

The only poll that matters is the last one. Bama can't add to their resume, but after next week all of the teams that should be picked ahead of them will have another top-25 win on their resumes compared to this week, which changes things dramatically. Bama could easily be in this week and out next week based on the resume building factor.

Look at it this way for those of you yammering for an (8) team playoff.

'bama just played Auburn in the pre-quarter finals and lost.

SEC/ACC/Big12/B1G er CFP quarterfinals next Saturday. (4) winners move on to the semi-finals. :yay2:

No muss/no fuss! Indeed, no need for a CFP committee. 8D

I think we don't belong in the playoffs this year, because of the late loss to Iowa. Look I know Bosa was kicked out, but still it was bad. I think our recruiting with the 2 big defensive line players from Georgia and Florida will help us get over the top next year to add to Young and Cooper. We still don't have the front 4 of Clemson or Auburn this year. Next year is the year.

I dont get why people think OU losing would be bad?

If Ohio State beats Wisconsin and TCU beats OU its down to Ohio State and TCU for the last spot. There is no way they can put OU in at that point. As they would be putting them in not just over Ohio State but over the team that just beat them in their conference title game.

TCU will be behind us still after this week. Dont think with us beating Wisconsin them beating OU in a rematch would be enough to vault them over us.

Tcu has no chance, none. They suck. That Oklahoma offense is too good and it will be a neutral site game. Oklahoma is always solid in neutral site games.

Final will be Oklahoma, Clemson, Auburn , and Alabama .

I predict Number 1 Clemson vs Number 4 Alabama and Number 2 Auburn vs Number 3 Oklahoma.
Title game will be Oklahoma vs Alabama, with Oklahoma winning it all.

Yes I think Ohio St will beat Wisconsin because Dobbins is really good and will go off. JK Dobbins baby.

Oklahoma is clearly the best team in the nation with the best player in the nation. Baker Mayfield has a higher qbr than Cam Newton which is all you need to know. Plus they have a decent defense, something Oregon didn't have. If they don't win, I will be stunned.
