2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Total chaos, even if Ohio State doesnt make it.

Would love to see -

UGA lose to either GA Tech or Kentucky, then beat Bama in the SECCG

Oklahoma lose to WVU. Leaving a 2 loss Big 12 champ for sure.

Clemson lose to South Carolina and then beat Miami in the ACCCG (or Clemson just beating Miami even if they win out)

Someone besides a 2 loss USC win the Pac 12

Would make for one hell of a mess in that final selection room

"Chaos is a ladder!"

We're good at 9. We'd jump ND with a win over undefeated Wiscy. Just need Bama, OU, Miami to win their [Mark May].

Yep, that's the path.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Miami
4. Okla
5. Wiscy
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. ND
9. OSU

Need Bama, Okla, Miami (and us, obviously) to win out. In that case, Bama, Okla and Miami would all have spots. We'd be above Wiscy, having beaten them, and I think we'd get the nod, as a 2-loss conference champ, over a 2-loss ND. Then it would be up to us getting the nod over:

Auburn, who will have 3 losses (with a loss to Bama) and won't be conference champ
Clemson, who will have 2 losses and won't be conference champ
Georgia, who will have 2 losses and won't be conference champ

I think we'd get the nod over Auburn, but I doubt we'd get the nod over both Clemson and Georgia.

This. If Bama, Miami, and Oklahoma win out along with Ohio State, that’s your playoff. No way two ACC teams get in. Also don’t see much of a case for two SEC teams getting in, especially if Alabama wins convincingly against Auburn and Georgia.

Like I told you guys Saturday night.

Bama, Miami, Oklahoma, Ohio State win out and that's your playoff. That is our path and if those 4 teams win out it will be the playoff. Guaranteed.

Not sure I agree. At that point, I think it's a beauty contest between OSU, Clemson and Georgia.

Pros for us: we're the only conference champ of the three, and we'll have wins over PSU and Wiscy (the latter of which won't look that good if Wiscy f's us this weekend against Michigan), Clemson's loss to Syracuse is dreadful
Cons for us: the Iowa loss is dreadful, the Okla loss wasn't that close, the committee seems to love Clemson and all things SEC

Like I said--I think it'll be a beauty contest, and will depend on things such as how good we look against Michigan and Wiscy, how close Georgia keeps it against Alabama, how close Clemson plays Miami, etc.

Honestly, I’m not sure how much it would matter. Conference champs, plus I don’t see Whisky falling below #15 with a single loss before the Big Ten Championship.
