You won't answer my direct question. Nothing much else to say.

No one here is arguing that Alabama isn't a great program and Saban isn't a great coach. Why you're not getting that people don't think 1) a team that finished 3rd in their conference should be included in a four-team playoff to determine the national champion and 2) a school's past results should have any relevance to how they're judged in the current year is confusing to me. Either you're trolling at this point or just doubling down on dumb shit.

If you think Ohio State should have been kept out because of the Iowa loss, that's fine.

SEC West runner-up Alabama still shouldn't have been in. 2015 and 2016 Big Ten East runner-up Ohio State shouldn't have been in either of those years either. My position would be the same if they'd won the NC both of those years.

Yeah, it's so shameful that they merely beat the #8 team in the country with the best offensive player this side of Blake. The team that would have easily kept Bama out of the playoffs if not for JT's unreal performance in the clutch.

It's definitely shameful given how well Alabama did against a team ranked in that ballpark (which was their ONLY such matchup).

Plus, your reasons distort what actually happened. They got Iowa'd, and that was what kept them out. Without that they could win Krenzel style over every big ten team and they'd get there before Bama.

Eh? Did Bama beat Auburn in whatever reality is that you say you're living in? Oh... I see.... you didn't list one of the Buckeyes losses.... Only regular season games against ranked teams...

Alas, if we exclude Bama - Auburn, then there aren't any more Bama regular season games having been played against ranked teams. :shrug:
