Anybody have any idea who the 2nd (lower) autograph is?
OK, I thought that I could answer that. I was at the 1997 Rose Bowl and still have my program; it just lists him as a Freshman (unfortunately nobody is listed as a redshirt anything). However, I did find a piece of paper in the program (that I don't remember even getting):
Based on this picture that was on the internet, Copper's autograph looks pretty legit:

When's the last time a WR made a real impact as a true freshman? I can't think of one. Ginn made an impact on the football field, but as a WR he only had 25 catches and 2 TD's.
Was Boston a true freshman or did he red shirt? He had 33 catches and 7 TD's.
Boston was a true freshman in '96 and obviously had an impact as a WR (33 rec/450 yds/7 TD)
Aside from Ginn, as you pointed out, there haven't been any other true freshman impact WR's
Michael Jenkins had the biggest first year since (almost a thousand yards in '01) but wasn't a true frosh.
Orlando Pace #75? Pretty awesome piece of paper if it is.
Pace's Aunt worked for me and she was able to get him to sign a football for me. That signature definitely looks like the one that is on the football on my office desk.WOW!!! Thanks it does look like Orlando Paces' signature.
