2016 CFB Bowl Games Open Thread

Most of these second-tier, maybe third tier or fourth tier would be more appropriate, bowls suck and the investors of companies that support them should be forced to watch them. I do not know how many bowls there should be but right now there are waaaay too many.

I agree entirely. When teams with losing records play in bowls because there are too few qualifying teams, there is something very wrong.

I don't mind the lesser games when they are actually good matchups that produce decent games

Like the App State/Toledo and La Tech/Navy type games

It's the shit fests like Boston College/Maryland game and games like Tulsa/Central Michigan where it's a 9-3 team vs a 6-6 team that really make the bowl season watered down.

While I agree some of the lesser games are not bad too watch, you never know when you are going to get a shit game when a 7-5 and a 6-6 get together or when teams from small conferences play the big boys or even when the big boys play the big boys. They are just way too many.

Yea, 5-7 teams definitely should not be playing in bowl games and neither should most 6-6 teams.

What's worse than a awful rematch in a bowl game? A blowout in a awful rematch in a bowl game

Army up 24-7

now 0-3 on 2 point conversions after missing the PAT after their 1st TD

So much for a blowout, Army collapsing before the half and it's 24-21
I have great respect for those guys at West Point and Annapolis but they should not be playing in a bowl game and neither should Navy or Air Force. Their bowl game was played when they played each other. They should let them go home to be with their families. Same with the Air Force Academy..
