After an awful bowl season to watch overall, at least this game was absolutely freaking epic. Seriously, that was fun to watch. And you have to absolutely love Watson, what a remarkable fight from him to get the win tonight. I can't believe he could take hits like that and still come through time and time again. He and Renfro were quite the anti-Bama over the last couple years, how fitting to have them put it away. Congrats to Clemson...eats me up how we played against them but just being honest, they were the best team in the country and deserved to win this.

I take a little solace knowing that our D was better against them than Bama's.

Well, I'm finally crawling out of the depths of darkness and hatred. One little anecdote...

We got the hell outta here Fri-Mon and had a nice time in Orlando. No theme parks (it was so freakin' cold this weekend...even by Ohio standards). Mostly just enjoyed a nice hotel & restaurants.

In any case, at one point we shared the elevator with a guy wearing what looked like a Clemson athletic department jacket. My husband just happened to have a small Bluetooth speaker clipped to his belt. I quickly pulled up the Ohio State fight song on his iPad & we enjoyed the best elevator music I've ever heard from floors 2-6.


Sure, we got whipped, shut-out and looked like we never should've been there. But, I wanted that dude to know we were still proud Ohio State fans. And, even if revenge doesn't come next year...it's still coming.

He probably thought we were crazy and bailed for fear we'd jump him in a Hyatt elevator.

I only watched part of the game. Recorded the 2nd half.

I couldn't root for either team because I have a deep hatred for both coaches (for different reasons). Plus, I thought it was a bummer we were watching the same teams play. One thing that particularly scares me is the fact Jalen Hurts is a true Freshman and will only get better. However, with the Clemson win, the "Alabama rules the world" thinking was taken down a notch. Also, I like the fact for the past 3 years a different team has won the Natty. The one thing neither can say?

They were the first.

You are right. He is a better QB, but the highlights on the evening belong to Mike Williams for the most part. Much like how a lot of Hatecrimes throws belong to Mike Evans.

That's the similarity I'm trying to draw. My fear was that Clemson would win the game, Watson would play decent and the Browns would then gamble on him because its a 'what have you done for me lately' kind of league.

Myles Garrett should still be first pick.. if Watson is there at 13 or where every.. you take him.
