Manic ego. Listening to wrong people or not having honest knowledgeable (in this area) people in their life. To each their own. What's odd to me is we actually have players that are considering on if they should stay or go pro?
What's that about?
Or maybe they just want to start getting paid?Manic ego. Listening to wrong people or not having honest knowledgeable (in this area) people in their life. To each their own.

Most of these players have absolutely zero interest in school and even less interest in getting a desk job. I know if it was me, I'd jump to Europe or the D-League without thinking about it. You can always come back and get your degree later. From the web: As of 2014, players in Europe's basketball league can expect to earn from $65,000 to $100,000 a season. While this is low compared to the $4.2 million median NBA salary, it is well above the $12,000 to $24,000 a player can expect to earn in the NBA Development League.
You could stay in school and use your degree to make more than that

I fully approve and appreciate kids that are borderline ready or clearly have the skillset to "get paid" but almost no team performs this poorly with legit NBA talent. Even so their choice but I won't feel bad if it doesn't work out.Or maybe they just want to start getting paid?
As opposed to what? Struggling to juggle school and basketball while getting paid zilch to do it? At least in the d-l they could focus 100% on basketball while getting paid something. Plus they no longer have to abide by the NCAA's garbage rules.come back and get their degree after 2-3 years of making minimum wage in the NBA DL?
Sounds like a solid plan
