I doubt any of the above mentioned Tide DB's are as tall as stated. Jump balls have been the weakness of this team, the last two games. I hope Saban and co. get a grip on this before Jan. 1.
Pay attention, if this was the one about pussy, I'd have said: VG says a lot of crazy things.but that one he was correct about...
edit, dammit I thought this was the one about pussy
You are welcome. The worst thing that Michigan ever did was run Carr off. He was a good coach. I know they are your biggest rival but as a conference you need them to be strong. Having Michigan St. carry the torch wasn't exactly inspiring. We all like our rivals to suffer but these long stretches of programs being a dumpster fire hurt the conference overall.
The OL was a mess.Serious question, how did Va Tech defeat OSU?

Saban teaches the DB's not to turn and play the ball unless they are "in-phase" with the receiver. He says if you aren't in phase, the receiver will beat you, and be behind you when he catches it, so you might as well be in his face and then make the tackle.Jump balls are not the issue. Turning theirs heads to locate the damn ball has been the problem...

This has worked poorly for giving up yards, but well for not giving up td's.
Another point would be that our offense is very similar to Auburn's overall: Spread read-option base but can just as easily run between the tackles as it can go to the perimeters with the athletes we have...plus we have some deep threats (I think Coates and Devin Smith are very similar) and a QB that can launch it a mile, but I think we have a better mix of intermediate guys that can move the chains...the big wildcard there is if our QB can hit those intermediate opportunities with a fair amount of consistency. In any event, this is not some finesse spread like most teams have. It is a physical, down-hill and high-paced attack that makes you worry in every gap on the field. Hell, even our QB is a 6-5 250 lb. battering ram that looks for a stiff arm or a lower of the shoulder before the play ends. Not really puffing the chest because Bama's defense will present plenty of challenges, but I just wanted to say I think the most similar offense you have faced in that regard is likely Auburn.
