Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

This is off-topic, but just a quick/funny story about Springfield:

I recently took someone through here for the first time and they asked me two questions:

1) Is this where the Simpsons live?
2) Is this where the Nightmare on Elm Street house is?

I told them the only thing exciting moving through Springfield is the army of Buckeye fans.

"However... Dave Chappelle lives in Yellow Springs. Hippie Town, USA!"

Just an FYI. If you get asked again, then it's Springfield, OR that is the basis.

Yes - jwinslow takes some excellent pics.

Josh, can you post the link on here for them to some of your pics?

Really outstanding work.
My favorite photo over the years (this was a few minutes after returning from the locker room, with his NC and heisman hunt ended)

After his injury, @JTbarrett16 returned to A-deck & made this kid's day by chatting with him. Vintage JT @StacyB42 pic.twitter.com/tX3WztyrLx

@jwinslow7 Pure class & respect on display today. Rival QB @DevG98 crossed field & consoled @JTbarrett16 after his injury.

@jwinslow7 Always choose sides responsibly when it comes to #TheGame. @DunnItAlready25 @N_Vannett81 @EzekielElliott & co did.

Before Wisconsin last year:

The biggest Michigan fan in the world growing up, Zach Boren, until they ticked off his older brother enough to transfer from UM to OSU. Boren switched to LB in November as a senior and solidified their D during the 2012 undefeated season

Cool. To understand what I am talking about, Cyrus Jones is listed at 5'10". He's not quite that tall...

Brad Sylve is 5'11". Eddie Jacskson is 6', but often uses poor technique at the line and gets himself burned (Iron bowl).
Yeah they're pretty close. I'd say Thomas is 6'2.5", Smith is a shade under 6'1, marshall is about 5'11.

Spencer is incredibly physical and the best blocking wr in America. His hands are not very strong in traffic.

Thomas is solid not great on jump balls. His size is a huge asset at shrugging off tacklers and running through extended arms.

Smith is a lightning rod. He has a long list of huge, clutch plays, sometimes in spectacular fashion. He was not always the most consistent wr on the easy passes but he has really elevated his game there as a senior.

None of the other wrs are worth mentioning in traffic. Marshall is a beast physically but still learning some of the skills at wr. Smith and Wilson are slot dots with predictable results in physical coverage on 50 50 balls.
Kevin White is better than Amari Cooper?

In Alabama's only loss,to Ole Miss, Saban and co. decided to start a true freshman at left cornerback, 5 star, Tony Brown from Texas. Brown was burned for a couple of TD's and the Tide lost. Since that game, Ala's secondary had played well with the exception of the Auburn game. In summation, Ala's secondary is better than the average fan thinks. The Tide has two flaws IMO. Field goal kicking and run blocking. Pass blocking has been very good but up front run blocking has been very average. I don't think Bama will have much success running up the gut on the Buckeyes.
