Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Reece seems like a good guy. He's smart and not a total flamer like May. Always hard to tell what's real and whats written for ESPN guys though.

Holtz has Buckeye roots so we try and be respectful but when ND is involved he can get fucking nuts

Always playing against May keeps him in a generally good light for us.

Nice azz by the way...

On an aside, my wife and her family are all "Barners" so there's an added familiarity I have with Alabama football on and off the field that assures me that this game is going to be very special.

It'll also be a change of pace for her to be rooting equally as hard as I am during a Buckeye game. I am looking forward to that.

1) Alabama's fan base has a clear divide. There are the people who represent our team well and there are those that do not. Please do not judge us on the few that come across as arrogant A***oles. I imagine this board will see quite a few of them in the coming month, but I can promise, should any of you come to a game in Tuscaloosa, that you would be treated with great hospitality and leave with a different perception of our state.

As you can see, same can be said for tOSU's fan base. Welcome to BP!

I think both teams have struggled to consistently bring their "A" games this year. Seems like, for the most part, both teams managed to play their best games against their best competition . I would love to see Bama at their best and OSU at their best. Of course, I would also be fine with OSU playing like they did against Wiscy and Bama playing like they did against WV or Ole Miss, and seeing OSU curbstomp the Tide. With Saban and Meyer coaching against each other, I would expect the former, though.

Mississippi State.
I agree with your cohort more along the lines of Ole Miss. Talented receivers and tough if not over pursuant D Line.

I think Dak is more comparable to JT than Cardale, who I liken to Bo.

I honestly think that the most apt comparison is Auburn. Our secondary is a smidge better, while they've got the edge on receivers. Run games are comparable, but we have the better talent at back, while I think the only player in the country better at QB runs than Nick is Braxton.
