Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

The one Buckeye I heard during the replay was terrible...pretty sure he was drunk.

McElroy was really impressive. The other guy...they can probably find someone better for that. The concept is awesome though, I'd watch that kind of presentation on BTN for every game given the opportunity.
Yeah. I think the other guy is there for comic relief, but when things are going poorly, there isn't much he can say.

They take them during commercial breaks and halftime. So you just don't watch it then. They are rough. In addition to the crazy Bama and Auburn fans, you get other weirdos too. Once guy would not shut up about Notre Dame until they hung up on him. There are a few Buckeye callers too. You don't want to listen to those either. They either came off as stupid or jerks.

Callers to radio and TV shows make me lose faith in humanity.

Finebaum is just using the Jerry Springer formula. The intelligent callers don't get past the screener.

He's been that way all year. A few of us bama people worried about him before the game. He is smart enough to play, but he is too slow. He got trucked a few times by Dak Prescott too. He didn't see nearly as many snaps this game as he usually does. Ragland was in the game during the times Bama's D was performing well. When Ragland got injured, it was time for the 85 yd back breaker. I sure do hope Ragland doesn't go pro...

Below was my question about Depriest back on about page 5 or so and the answer I got from Alabama Paul.

Now that the smoke has cleared, I agree with you there is no way you can think he was anything but big and slow.

Here is one I wanted to ask of Tide fans;

It looked like Trey Depriest ate another human being or something. Damn he got big.

Is it just me?

He has muscled up a bit, but that hurts more than it helps. Ragland is much quicker, faster to the ball...

Another amazing breakdown, this time on the Zeke run:

http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-...iel-elliotts-85-yard-sugar-bowl-clinching-run

Spencer = BEAST. Took out the freshman and Trey at once.
Thanks for posting - not only are the linemen SEC fast enough to get the blocks on the DL's but they also get to the second level. The the bama corner doesn't have enough speed to catch Zeke, Zeke outruns the bama safety, and Marshall shows he's faster than both. Those big, slow Big Ten players just can't compare speed wise.:lol:

I was watching the game again, this time on "Spidercam" on the watchespn app, there was a play where Jalin Marshall lined up in the backfield and they ran an outsize zone to the right side. Darryl Baldwin punished a DB who was attacking downhill, Zeke punished DePriest and Jalin zipped past everybody and would have been gone if not for running into Billy Price. There was no one close. Two plays later Zeke broke the long one, if I remember correctly, but damn it's crazy how many points were left on the field that night.
