Connor Cook is projected as a late 1st, early 2nd round pick if he comes out early. He's expected to be a mid to upper first round pick next year. Where is Blake projected? I feel like he was a late pick but that may have changed with his improvnig play.I think the breakdown is pretty reasonable. I disagree with the comments saying Conner cook is a better qb than sims.
I'm shocked to learn that about Cook. I had no idea. I figure Sims doesn't have a future as an NFL qb. His throwing stats are better than Cook's and he is a better rusher too.Connor Cook is projected as a late 1st, early 2nd round pick if he comes out early. Naturally OSU fans are familiar with the disparity between college talent and NFL prowess, especially at the QB position.
I contend that sims hasn't been told to spread the ball around. Bama's philosophy has been to make sure the best players touch the ball as much as possible.MSU has a better QB whose not as mobile, but only 1 WR in Lippett
Alabama has a far better receiving corps, but a QB that - while very mobile - isn't very good at spreading the ball around
Saban and Kiffin know that whoever Cooper is matched against or whatever D scheme they face, Cooper is always their greatest chance (percentage) to move the chains or to come up with a quick score. Basic math. tOSU doesn't have that luxury to just go to one person all the time. Find a way to limit Cooper and we have a good chance to come away with a W.

Don't take too much offense to this, but I'm beginning to see more and more that there are a lot of fans of SEC teams that really don't know much about college football outside of the SEC, especially the B1G. It's making me more and more excited for Ohio State to show up on the national stage and do a little "teaching".
This is not new nor unusual. A few years ago a lady my wife worked with was talking about LSU being ranked #4 and how great they were doing. She knew my wife and I go to a few games a year, so she asked my wife where tOSU was rated. At the time we were rated #1. She knew where several S-E-C teams were rated but had no idea about anyone else. Living in the middle of S-E-C territory, this is certainly not an isolated incident.
Just surprises me.
If I were a fan of a top #10 team (pro tip: I am) I would know a pretty good deal about the teams also in that echelon, just for comparison's sake.
Hell, I often take time out to do a weekly Pac-12 recap when they've got teams in the mix, even though I RARELY get to watch any games.
I don't know how much more I can talk about this game without exploding from anticipation.
