Really? Last year was the first time in a long time that either were remotely relevant. Now we're supposed to act as if they've been doing it for a decade. This is how SEC myth works.
And thanks to bowl season we know the entire division was grossly over-rated -- neither Miss school was that good, they only managed to get inflated rankings b/c some of the big programs are down and ESECPN's market interest to make the bottom of the SEC sound like world beaters.
The fact that Aggy was able to slide right in and perform at the same level demonstrates a cold hard reality about the middle and bottom of SEC West -- it's the same as everywhere else. With LSU and Auburn in a rut, it's not better than anywhere else in the country with 1 elite team.
And don't even get me started on Arkansas... the laughable notion that it was just 2012 they sucked. Arkansas is 6-22 against P5 schools since Petrino left... including 2 losses to RUTGERS
