Wouldn't say MSU quit, I would say they beat themselves though. MSU dominated the first half, but couldn't convert on 3 or 4 red zone opportunities, and outside of 3 huge bama plays, they held bama to in the neighborhood of 60 total yards, while passing for 200. Could have easily been 21-3 at the half going the other way, but about 6 really big screw ups and it's a blowout. 2nd half Bama was the dominant team as they gave the ball to Henry in what was a defensive struggle. I don't know if I've ever seen a team lose the total yardage (very slightly) 393-379, lose the time of possession by 7 minutes, lose the first down rate 13 to 20, and win the game 31-6.
That said, Bama does still look impressive, definitely looks to be a top 4 team. Henry looks to be a huge pain the ass to stop. The pass rush has improved significantly, pair that with the inside run stopping this is a difficult team to score on. Secondary is just above average, and pass game is mediocre, but every top team has quite a few flaws. I don't think there is a team left on your schedule that can beat you. Florida has the best shot with Harris. I know they say rivalry games are always big, but Auburn really sucks this year. Not necessarily a team I'd want to face in the playoffs if we can't get our pass protection shored up. 3 weeks to go, but that matchup seems very likely.
