Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

I forgot to mention that I actually went to the NCG in Arlington (I don't live too far from DFW metroplex). It was a thrilling game, a once-in-a-lifetime deal to be sure, but still wish I'd been at the Lucas for this one. :urban2:

I have to say that I'd agree. Was in LOS and the game was a lot of fun to watch live. Breaking one off in their asses and being 8 rows up behind their bench (filled with other tOSU people) so as to taste the salt of their fresh tears made it something beyond words. The other two games I think I enjoyed more in front of the flat screen. Having the best angle / multiple angles for replays and my own keg so I could self medicate when games were still in doubt seemed to work well for me.

I don't remember either of those games ever being in doubt.
After the back-wedge punt by Johnston gave Bama the ball on our 20 yard line or so, I had some concern that Bama would score, take the lead, and regain momentum. Fortunately Bell bailed us out with the INT on the next play. And after the Ducks pulled within 21-20, after we kept turning the ball over, I had some concern about how our defense may start to crack...as we saw, they instead galvanized.

Over the coarse of 8 months of off season... how many times can I watch this game before I am considered to have a problem?

Yesterday, I pulled up the Championship game on YouTube using my Iphone and then using Bluetooth to play it on the wireless speakers around my swimming pool. Listening to the Buckeyes win over Oregon AGAIN, this time sitting in an 82 degree swimming pool with an ice cold gin and tonic was just as sweet. My wife of course thinks I'm nuts. "You already know they win!", she says. My 10 year old son and I never get tired of it!

I've gone through the entire season with the exception of a couple of games in the past couple of weeks. I started the championship game again today.

I went to 11 games last season. I'm not sure I'll ever get that opportunity again. The stars aligned for me with two away games in Maryland.

Yeah, I see your point. I must say that I think you would have enjoyed AT&T in Arlington, though. It's one of the most spectator-friendly stadiums I've ever been in. As far as details, what I missed in live action was easy to see on that ridiculously big Jumbo-Tron. Still wish I could have been at the LOS though. Sweet! :urban2:

Was out to see a Cubs game last night with a client from Dallas. He told me that he and his son went to the game. Scalped tix as it was starting. He said the same about Jerry-vision. Seeing that in person might be worth the price of admission.

Yeah, it's worth seeing. Other features are escalators for the nose bleeders, great concession services with practically no waiting lines, and corridors that are never crowded. The Buckeyes stole the show though!

Got done watching this game again and I completely forgot about Nick Vannett's performance...not only did he spring some HUGE blocks on the trap plays but he also caught a big TD. Very happy to have him back next year.

The question for TE is who will replace vannett as the zero-drop-off backup. Really I think one reason the position was so great is they got really good rotation and rest without giving up on talent.
