Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

We're gonna get a crystal football trophy!
http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...ly-states-the-afca-coaches-trophy-is-retired/

Also the AP National Champion Trophy!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AP_National_Championship_Trophy

I believe that would make 5 trophies!!!! Including the Grantland Rice Trophy.

Now, what is really interesting is why ESPN/DrPepper didn't tell us about the Crystal Football or the MacArthur Trophy being awarded on the field after the game? In fact, ESPN was telling everyone that the crystal football was retired! Ha!
Dr Pepper sponsored the crystal football, AFCA Trophy until 2013.
Amway now sponsored the AFCA Trophy.
I wonder if urban will throw together a nice little corner with the CFP trophy, coaches poll crystal football trophy, AP trophy, MacArthur Trophy, Grantland Rice Trophy, Sugar bowl trophy, B1G championship trophy, player of the game trophies for all 3 games, and a nice little hand maniquin with rings for all 3 games, and a pair of gold pants. And get that all ready (probably less rings) by the big recruiting trip next weekend....Nahh, doubt it.

Am I the only one that thought it was low-class to score the final touchdown in the final seconds of the game? That's not an act of strength or class, just a lowly bully cowardly kicking someone when they're down. C'mon, 'coach' meyer, quit being the little boy who's still trying to get his daddy's approval by beating up on the opponent.

I am seriously tired of hearing this.
Did Meyer do trick plays or throw the ball? No.
Did EVERYONE in the entire fucking country know what he was going to do? Yes.

Is it the defenses job to prevent this from happening?

What the hell is he supposed to do? Just hand the ball back? Because apparently kicking a field goal would have been low class too?

People want the Buckeyes to just knee? Cool, don't use fucking timeouts and they probably would have.

Now let's look at the flip side, just for arguments sake. Say the bucks kneel on it, Oregon gets it back with time on the clock, a miracle play leaves it an 8 point game with 3 seconds on the clock, the onside kick turns into another miracle, and with that kind of momentum, there's no stopping the two point conversion.

And then everyone says "why did they kneel on the ball? They should have put this team out of their misery and gotten their 8th title, instead..."

Doubtful it would have happened, but I have seen stranger stuff in College football.

No go back to your cave troll, and seek your daddy's approval for your idiotic post.

My thoughts on this? They're lucky we didn't put 60+ on them because if not for the 4 turnovers (all on 1st or 2nd down, and driving) 28+42=70

They had all the breaks, we turned it over 4 damn times and when you are that close to winning a national title you go ahead and make sure there's no doubt. You don't give a team like Oregon any breaks because as the 70 yard TD will tell you they can score quick.

Losers and wimps.

I despise that phrase or anything with the word " haters".

Well, that's too bad, because Mr. Jones is a big fan of it. It was the first thing he had to say to the world after winning the National Championship:

All I gotta say is........ Hi Haters
