Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

I imagined this scenario, if a soothsayer talked to me before the game:

SS: "OK, I'm going to give you a little heads-up of what's going to happen..."
Me: "OK, shoot."
SS: "Oregon will score quickly on the game's first possession."
Me: "Fuck."
SS: "Ohio State will commit four turnovers and Oregon none, before the game's last play."
Me: "FUCK!"
SS: "Oregon will score on a quick-strike 70-yard TD pass just one-play after one of those turnovers."
Me: "FUUUUCK!!!" (shatters reading glasses on the floor, just like I did in real life during the game)
SS: "Mariota will have 333 yards passing."
Me: "FUUUUUUCCCKKKKK!!!" (smashes full growler of beer onto the floor, which did NOT happen during the game)
SS: "Oregon will have four red zone possessions, and OSU has allowed TDs on all 22 of their redzone defenses this year."
Me: "FUCK! FUCK! FUUUUCCCCKKK!" (smashes 65-inch HDTV, now not wanting to see us get plungered)
SS: "Ohio State will win 42-20."
Me: "Uh, say what?"
SS: "No really, despite all that, they beat the shit out of Oregon and win big."
Me: "Get the fuck outta here..."
SS: "Seriously."
Me: (shoots soothsayer in the head for making break my glasses, growler, and HDTV, and drives to Giovanni Pastrami's to watch the game)

I really stand in awe of the offense this year, but I am most happy that the Silver Bullets are back. I mean, I got chills the first time Meyer went for it on 4th and 2. The bloody "though I walk through the valley of death" confidence. Oregon had to be amazed at what they saw across the line.

The defense in that run of three games was unbelievable. I woke up my family laughing out loud at some of those Jack Tatum hits being levelled. Silver Bullets. They can walk with that swagger now.

You let soothsayer die by letting him continue on past Oregon committing a turnover on the final play. Something had to be in our favor outcome-wise for that to happen unless they committed a turnover taking a knee or something odd like that. That death is on you.
