I think we've seen enough interaction between, and comments from, the three to know that none of them will get disgruntled or complacent...The only thing I'm really worried about is the guys on the side becoming disgruntled or complacent as the season goes along. I hope they can all stay hungry all season long.
There was a video... before Spring Game I think where Cardale and JT were being joint interviewed... I want to say by Lesmires?
I can't seem to find it now though, and I don't even remember which thread I saw it in.
Anyway... it seemed like one of their answers was foreshadowing Braxton making a position change? One of them answered something along the lines of everybody just wanting to contribute on the field however they could when asked about Braxton.
Did anyone get that vibe? Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it like looking at the color of a recruits socks cuz it's the off season.
If he is at Ohio State this fall - and I certainly hope he is - this 3 QB thing can only work if Braxton takes on the role of H/RB/situational QB. You start JT, work Cardale in, and do some creative things with Braxton.
That being said, Meyer, Beck, Warriner, etal are making a little more money to make those decisions than I am, and have been involved in a few more wins than I have. So, maybe they will come up with something I haven't thought of. Regardless of what it ends up looking like, all 3 players are going to have to sacrifice - which they seem willing to do. I just think the sacrifices will be less if Braxton doesn't play QB. But again, what do I know?
As long as the final solution (My God, I hate using terms related to the Holocaust for a QB issue) is what is best for the team, I'm good. That said, JT Barrett needs to be the primary QB or I'm going to pitch a fit and whine like a girl.
bet theres gonna be a few tricks plays where all 3 are in on the same play
I seriously doubt Meyer will "split" the job between any two QBs...he will have a definitive starter. That doesn't mean the second stringer won't see significant playing time.JT and Cardale are probably going to split the job unless Cardale can convince Urban that he knows as much of the playbook as JT does.
Both Miller and Jones will be gone after this season, with the possibility of Barrett also being gone. The worst Collier will (or should) be for the 2016 season is second string. After he saw how both Barrett and Jones got their chances, on little to no notice, last year (i.e., shit happens) I don't think he'll be too impatient about seeing the field. The one I worry about then is Collier, who might well be the fifth or sixth best QB in the Big Ten. Keeping him happy and in Columbus seems to me to be the most important job facing the staff.
Barrett leaving has about 10% chance-if that.I seriously doubt Meyer will "split" the job between any two QBs...he will have a definitive starter. That doesn't mean the second stringer won't see significant playing time.

Thus the word "possibility" and not "probability"...Barrett leaving has about 10% chance-if that.
All three have demonstrated that they can win big games against teams with equal or better talent. The guy with the least say in the matter would seem to be Braxton. He's still not cleared to throw. JT and Cardale are probably going to split the job unless Cardale can convince Urban that he knows as much of the playbook as JT does. Both Miller and Barrett have faced a single team that had comparable or better talent than us at the time of the game, and both those teams were named Michigan State. Miller lost to them in the 2013 B1G CCG and Barrett beat them at their place in 2014. Conversely, two of the three teams Jones faced were better than Michigan State and the third team was pretty comparable to Michigan State...and he beat them all. Keep in mind he beat the #1 and #2 teams in the country, in consecutive games, at neutral sites. So I'd tend to agree with what Tampa is saying...What team has JT played against that had equal or better talent? What team has Braxton beat that has equal or better talent? They have both proven they can beat the [Mark May] out of a team with slightly less talent. I guess we could say MSU has equal talent over the last 3 years and Wisconsin may have had equal talent one of the last 4 years. Cardale has shown that he can beat two teams that have equal and probably more talent.
