2014 TSUN Shenanigans and Arguments

Eh? We still have Urban. When Urban came here, they were still on the wrong end of absolute domination of this rivalry and had a fat, sweaty, tree sloth as their coach. They knew more doom was around the corner. We still have the best coach in the conference, and one of the best in the country. We might not win 'em all now, but I like our chances of maintaining the upper-hand with our guy. Plus, we don't have to spend every offseason sweating whether our guy is gonna get the itch to go back to the NFL.

I agree with Sloopy that this is a great hire for scUM, likely the very best they could have made--and probably a real pain in the ass as long as he's there--but we've got a top-3 coach with a huge head start in the same division, not to mention MSU as a legitimate power in-state. The circumstances of the two hires couldn't be more different.

I love bashing these fuckheads as much as anyone but lets keep it somewhat realistic,

there is no tree in creation that the sweaty sloth could have hung from
You're absolutely right. I should have went this direction--

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see how Sparty stays near the top of the B1G if/when Jim-Bo gets scUM back to relevance

One thing is for sure, the Ohio HS recruiting scene is about to heat up even more

I agree, but my point was how I perceive Jim not the program. He's the best fit, someone that's expected to have success right away, but I truly hope he falls flat on his face. That's how I assumed they felt.

Does he have eligibility left? Is he bringing a QB with him?

If not then it didn't get very interesting for the next couple years at least

I don't see him having much success in the Michigan or Ohio recruiting scenes right away.

I think he has to work his way past Dantonio for his home state guys before he can even think about looking down river.

One thing I will give him is that he may be able to pull a couple of those Cali kids away from Oregon/USC/etc...

All of that is to say, Jim will have to stay for a few good years to return tsun to something worth mentioning in the same breath as the B1G top dogs.
