Which makes this new playoff system almost worse than the BCS......Ohio State has to go perfect to have any chance. Just the way it is...look at who owns the college football playoff and sets the media tone....

I tend towards disagreement. SEC bias or no SEC bias, you have to play and beat someone ranked to move up. The chance that beating Sparty and shooting to #4 - or that beating OSU will move Sparty to #4 - could happen is akin to believing that Jerry World is a neutral site for Big Ten teams or that home field advantage is a myth. Michigan and PSU in full suckitude doesn't ease matters either. There are 6 games this week with top 20 teams facing off against each other. These rankings really don't mean jack right now.

Five teams? Now that is a joke.
They're 1-2 against teams worth mentioning, and while their 1 win is decent... so far 'Bama is riding high based on reputation alone.

I'll at least give them till the end if the year before I say it's worse than the BCS. I mean one of their biggest criteria is conference championships, which we don't know yet. It's just too early.Almost?
These polls are an even bigger farce than the BCS polls. No way in hell Alabama deserves to be ranked ahead of TCU, KState, and Sparty.
Still below a 2 loss Ole Piss team what a joke....
A bad precedent is being made here for the SEC. Losing 2 games has too harsh of a penalty if it's vs top teams in the SEC:

Auburn should feel embarrassed that they let Ole Piss hang 30 on them, and then needed a fluke injury-fumble to save the day 6 inches from the goalline.
