2014 Preseason and Regular Season Polls

Good thing the AP is entirely meaningless. As for Drew, he's an uneducated fuckwit who probably still lives in his mother's basement.
It's as meaningless as people who matter let it be. Anymore I don't trust people to ignore what the polls say. When we used to do the BP Poll, people would complain about how stupid the polls were......then our poll would mirror it.

Fair point, though I have doubts how many games they're actually watching.
They also have it split up between them by conference; at most members are covering 1 Big5 and 1 Midmajor... seems like that could be handled easily by this point in the season.
If you're covering B1G, there's maybe 4 teams to watch... with byes and head-to-head, that's 3 games this last week and 2 on coming Saturday (after which you may be down to 2 teams).

He's really just a complete troll. Don't know how he has a job to be honest. Hates on UM and MSU all the fucking time, which oh I don't know is 90% of their readers?

[bullshit] "Sharp has developed a nationally recognized reputation for “telling it like it is,” forging strong, well-informed opinions that cut through the clutter of spin and idolatry." [/bullshit]

Explains everything - "Sharp is a regular contributor to ESPN’s "Jim Rome Is Burning" as well as other network programming such as "SportsCenter," "Outside the Lines" and "Pardon the Interruption.""

From the urban Dictionary: ..."It is quite wrong to infer from somebody's being a wanker that they in fact wank (and vice versa), but of course, fair to assume they do in any case. Herein lies the genius of the insult: if you call someone a wanker, it's probably true, but only literally.

I suppose it all originates from our repressed Victorian sexualities, from back when everybody thought they were the only ones to suffer the secret shame of being an actual wanker.

Most children these days learn the word "wanker" long before they learn its literal meaning."

I heard Gary Danielson, yes that Gary Danielson, on the radio this afternoon. He made a few good points. He said the SEC West is the best division and that it has 4 teams (he's eliminated Ole Miss) that can win the league, make the playoff, and win it all. However, he noted that he doesn't see any of these teams as above the current field. In fact, he said he doubts that the SEC will get 2 teams into the playoff if B1G/Pac/Big 12 have 1 loss champs. Basically, he was saying that because the SEC teams haven't clearly separated themselves from the rest of CFB and he didn't see why they should get a 2nd team in over another conference's champ. He did refer to what he called "playoff committee roulette," saying nobody really knows what the committee will do. It was probably the most balanced discussion I've heard from a national media figure.
