I wish I could act optimistic about the poll that matters, but it will be much of the same agenda driven shit we've seen.Meaningless polls are thankfully meaningless. The only poll that matters comes out on Tuesday.

But there's no bias..... And we're stupid for even thinking so.Not even joking. The only teams that don't move up after wins this week in the coaches poll are the BiG teams. MSU, OSU and Nebraska either don't move at all or drop in rankings (OSU). Fuck the polls.
So.........Ole Miss looks awful in losing to an average LSU team, and barely falls in either poll. SEC Bias doesnt exist though........

Let's just hope this "selection committee" actually watches the college football games, and not just the three highlight clip and final score from ESPN.....I don't think so....for one, there are too many ADs and ex-ADs who are on the committee. For another, unlike the coaches who let their water boys vote or the Mediots, there's a better than average chance these committee members will actually take their jobs seriously and actually stick to their announced goals about how they'll rank the teams.
Data
Selection Committee members will have a wealth of information including review of video, statistics and their own expertise to guide them in their deliberations. They will emphasize obvious factors like win-loss records, strength of schedule, conference championships won, head-to-head results and results against common opponents. The playoff group has retained SportSource Analytics to provide the data platform for the committee’s use. While the details of the platform have not been finalized, it is anticipated that it will include countless pieces of statistical information for every Football Bowl Subdivision team. It will also include general information such as each team’s opponents’ record and opponents’ opponents’ records. The platform will allow the committee members to compare and contrast every team on every level possible.
It should be noted that the committee will not use a single data point such as the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) that is used for NCAA championships.
I'd say WVU can qualify as a quality win for them.Mississippi barely dropping doesn't annoy me as much as Alabama riding one game in which they ran train over a [Mark May]ty A&M team to #3.
I recall some jackass on CBS stating that TCU and Kansas State don't have a shot because they haven't been in a big conference long enough and/or they don't have the history like a Texas or Oklahoma.
