I want to draft a solid player and be excited about the contributions he can make. Foosball can not do that. He's a luxury pick on a team that needs more solid (not spectacular) talent. Not flashy diva's. You might be on his dick but the kid is a project. True enough to the dumbass Cleveland fans once Hoyer has a shaky game there will be echo's down Carnegie to start the rook. What slim chance of being a remotely average QB will be gone when he's tossed to the wolves.
Just a fucking mindless pick. Farmer pissed down his leg twice. Dropping a 5th rounder to move up one spot - If Minnesota wanted Gilbert they wouldn't have settled for an additional 5th rounder. The Vikings bluffed, got the pick and then the player they really wanted. Then the jackass trades up to Philly because of ducking course they're going to spend 1st rounder on a QB after their 2nd year man makes the pro bowl. KC and Cincy weren't going to take him. Farmer was bluffed again then face up the 3 rd rounder. What a pussy. We could have traded down again, taken Dennard who will be every bit as good as Gilbert, not taken Manzeil and still have that 3rd rounder in our pocket.

you're not talking about his talent. all his highlight clips, all his abilities that everybody is talking about, are gimmicky fluke plays that just happened to work in college against college kids. running around like a fuck and heaving a ball off his back foot isn't going to work in the NFL.
the starting QB taken in the first round should have people talking about his footwork, ability to read defenses, arm strength, decision making (the good kind, not the manziel kind). this one has people talking about his excitement and fire in his belly.

That's called improvement, in one year no less after losing his stud OL man and teams knew what to expect the 2nd time around he got even better. It's going to be nice that he will have at least a year to wait and learn more improving his game.
