2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament (official thread)

Jordan Morgan really did a great job this year filling in for McGary. I'm sure some people point to Michigan as having a lack of an inside presence, but they were suppose to be hammered by Texas' and Tennessee's bigs, and for the most part, Morgan did a great job in the middle. It is what it is with Beilein

Going into Sunday I was kind of hoping for a 3 Big Ten team final, but after Sparty pulled a Sparty, I said "screw it, go Kentucky"... I then felt immediate shame and hated myself.
When tsun got up by 10 in the first half, I had a small smile on my face that Kentucky was getting shot out of the gym... then I felt immediate shame and hated myself.
After Kentucky took a 6 or 8 point lead in the second half, I nodded my head in approval... then I felt immediate shame and hated myself.
Then tsun tied the game with Morgan's layup and I thought "That's the way"... then I felt immediate shame and hated myself.
And after Harrison hit the game winning 3, I did a little fist pump and said "I hate Calipari and Kentucky, but screw tsun!"

From a pure basketball standpoint, that was a great game... But screw both of those teams. And now... On Wisconsin, kill the Cats by 30.

Exactly my reflection on the game. While I was rooting for a meteor to hit the stadium and eliminate the two teams I hate the most, that was a wildly entertaining game and well played on both sides. In all honesty though, I wanted to see at least 2 B1G in the Final Four and scUM was the last chance at that. Really hoping Wisky absolutely routes them too, despite my absolute hatred for Bo Ryan.

Bingo. I have no idea how they made it to the Elite Eight this year without any kind of inside presence and/or defensive ability. Then again, only having to play a 15-seed, a 7-seed and an 11-seed never hurts.

Shooting 68% from the field, 74% from three, and 94% from the line- or whatever ridiculous numbers they were putting up- will do that for you... Until your shooters cool off, that is.
