The VT game is going to be a challenge. VT will force us to throw so who ever is behind center will be under a lot of pressure to complete passes because VT will load the box.
It's going to be a really interesting and challenging start for the top Big teams.
The Big could really take a hit early on. MSU at Oregon. Wiscy playing LSU in Texas. Us playing VT.

It'll be interesting to see our plan of attack - not sure how much down field we'll attack as VT really has a great and young secondary led by Kendall Fuller, who I feel confidently in saying will be a high first rounder in 2 years as he's on another level than his brother Kyle who was a first rounder himself to the Bears this year.

I think we'll end up spreading and attacking the intermediate routes, TE's should have a big day and I could see RB's who can hit the edges get more play than usual.

Not necessarily throw, just not run it between the tackles. That is where Curtis, Dontre and Jalin come into play, if our passing game isn't where it needs to be yet. Spread offense+Speed=Can't Load the Box

The team goes as far as Braxton Miller takes them. I think his preseason limitations are precautionary, despite what we're hearing about getting his shoulder up to speed. Miller seems very genuine when he says he feels 100%, and I'm inclined to believe him. I think the coaches are trying to keep him healthy without telling the team "he's so important, he doesn't have to practice."

I recall John Simon got similar treatment his senior year.

I must say having lived 30 minutes from Blacksburg, Va for 6 years I know how good Tech can be on defense. I also know how poor they normally are on offense too. Like it was said we will need Braxton throwing the ball to have this be anything but a close win. Tech is great at the point of attack and they will pressure Braxton heavily when he drops back to pass. I love their DBs and the Dline but their LBs normally are nothing to write home about (as is the case with their OL, QB, and skill guys).

I still think we win because their OL will have no answer for our Dline but I now think this is a close game due to Techs dline also more than likely finding its rhythm as well. I'm thinking 21-10 and the total yards being around 500 combined for both teams.

Remember this is a team that shut down Alabama on offense and if not for 2 special team TDs its a different game. I wouldn't be shocked if we also scored a special teams TD out of our 21 points I predicted. They will be a stern test for us.

We CANNOT fall behind against Tech as I think outside of MSU this will be the toughest test for our offense.

Good call on the VT/Bama game, but IIRC that was neutral site whereas this is @OSU. And I'm sure it wasn't neutral in the sense of a 50/50 split, but it sure won't be the same.
