2014 Bowl Games Open Thread

I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an engineer—
A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer.
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.

Oh! If I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do—
He would yell, 'To hell with Georgia!' like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it round.
I'd drink to all the good fellows who come from far and near.
I'm a ramblin', gamblin', hell of an engineer!

By the power of the sec, I hereby declare October 4, 2014 as football celebration day in the state of mississippi. And December 31, 2014 as the day football ceased to exist in the state of mississippi.

The sec has retroactively removed all mississippi schools from the conference effective at 9 AM today.

All defeats suffered by the SECw are because we didn't want to be there. There should have been 4 sec teams in the playoff because we are big boys.

As an Engineer and a rum lover, I really like this chant!

Just want to throw this out there for the conspiracy theorists:

You'd think the SEC getting smashed would be a lead story on ESECSECSECPN. Nope. An entirely meaningless NBA game that 13 people watched is....
Bowl games are meaningless...

But seriously, there is no mention on ESPn's homepage. It's not really a conspiracy. It's too transparent for that. With ESPN running the SEC network, they need the conference to look good. It was a genius move by the SEC to choose espn to partner with.

They are indeed. Fun to laugh at teams that are completely incompetent in them though, most of the time. Although that is usually the product of what people are posting in these threads.

yup - people are pointing it out on their Facebook page too. I would imagine most of those people will be banned shortly.

Did ESPN cover the big 12's 0-3 day extensively? I understand they pump up the sec, but I think you guys are over reacting by expecting them to devote half an hour of sportscenter to it.

I honestly don't remember how ESPN covered the big 12's bad day. I onlywatch actual sporting events, not shows, so maybe they did spend half an hour in the big 12 having s rough go of it.
