I have a feeling our Cajun friends are gonna wish scUM came along and plucked Lester from them before too much longer...

I'm pleasantly surprised by the offense, but this is a far cry from where we were this season. With Zaire we're actually running the read option, and running it correctly as Zaire has a much better grasp of reading the end. We've been mostly a passing team this year, but it certainly looks like LSU's weak run defense had to be exploited here. On the plus side, running the ball is also keeping LSU's offense from manhandling our beat up defense.

Kelly favors experience and knowledge of the playbook, based on what I've seen in past seasons. It's one of the reasons Tommy Rees saw so much action in his time at ND.

Looks like he got in, but feels good that Les is having to pull out the trick plays and fake FGs here to stay in the game.
