2013 Week 9 B1G FB Open Thread

Stats
I post you a bunch of stats time and time again. You reply with "you're a homer".
lol, I can see you are an educated one.

I hope your vagina doesn't hurt too bad when you take your walk of shame back to the ESPN boards where opinions matter more than facts.
Stats can be skewed, but you don't realize that. Indiana is a top ten offense, does that make them an elite team? You focus on one side of the ball and don't take into account the athletes they are going against week in and week out. Baylor and bowling green are in the top ten in defense, I guess that makes them elite. Are all the points and yards that go against defenses at relevant times in games or do they happen when games are out of hand against second and 3rd teams. When viewing a team you can't solely look at one side of the ball and can't simply look at stats when looking at the whole body of work of a team.

I'm glad Alex changed to the bammer game before Minnie inserted the plunger....
Yeah, it was up and coming. I guarantee you - here's what you'll hear in the post game presser:

1. "That's what you call a team loss."
2. "We got beat in every phase of the game."
3. "It's nothing magical."
4. "We didn't show up."
5. "The pendulum started going the other way, and we needed to make a play." (This one could count twice.)
6. "We didn't execute well enough to win the football game."
7. "Maybe we're reading our press clippings too much."
8. "We've gotta get it fixed and move forward."
9. "We lost a sense of what our job was."
10. "Our guys, instead of playing to win, are playing not to lose."
11. "I'd like to see our football team just turn it loose and have fun."

Stats can be skewed but speed, physicality and the ability to play in space are immutable laws of physics.

Immutable, indeed.

The B1G really needs to have a meeting with all of our officials and show them what holding is. It's like they believe that if they call it most of the time, offenses will suffer. The good offenses won't have a problem. I have no horse in the Illinois MSU game, but MSU was just held on about three straight plays. It's just ridiculous.
