Shoulder to shoulder isn't the wording of the rule though. It was clear he was going to hit him high. It's crappy tackling technique as well.

Oh and I'm not sure it was an incomplete pass either.

Wow...he doesn't get ejected. It was an unnecessary hit, I think he hit the head/neck more than the shoulder, but he could have easily wrapped up.

EDIT: Yeah, what Mike said about the incomplete. It was clearly complete, and should have been a fumble. I'm not sure if the targeting call would have nullified the fumble, though.

That hit was way worse than what Roby did when Roby got disqualified. I must be the only person who saw the DB load, up, lower his shoulder, and blast the guy in the side of the head.

I miss the days when players actually tried to tackle the ball carrier.

Not disagreeing, or directed at you Mike.

but he did his job- brought down the ball-carrier and caused what should have been a fumble. Proper, wrap-up technique? No, but that's a player going and making a play [10 years ago].
