2013 Week 11 CFB Open Thread

That hit was way worse than what Roby did when Roby got disqualified. I must be the only person who saw the DB load, up, lower his shoulder, and blast the guy in the side of the head.

I miss the days when players actually tried to tackle the ball carrier.

I think what tipped it in the defenders favor, was that the receiver lowered his head. But I saw the 'back follow through with the hit and that was not shoulder to shoulder, it was definitely shoulder to head. I'm surprised he wasn't ejected, it looked like intent to injure there.

Wow...he doesn't get ejected. It was an unnecessary hit, I think he hit the head/neck more than the shoulder, but he could have easily wrapped up.

EDIT: Yeah, what Mike said about the incomplete. It was clearly complete, and should have been a fumble. I'm not sure if the targeting call would have nullified the fumble, though.

Didn't look like a fumble. He held on through hitting the ground then released the ball when it was sleepy time, but he was down on his back then.

It was way worse than Roby's hit. I'm surprised they overturned the ejection considering other ejections I've seen this year around the country.
