Unfortunately, with the way the PAC-12 is being puffed up this year, we may need all but one of Stanford, Oregon, LSU, Georgia and Alabama to finish the season with 2 losses, and Florida State and Clemson to both lose a game for The Buckeyes to get into the Championship Game. Assuming tOSU finishes undefeated.

I sure hope not. I don't see a scenario where Stanford and Oregon both have two losses...although I have to disagree...I think we go over either Stanford or Oregon with one loss. Now an undefeated Stanford/Oregon versus a one-loss SEC school would not surprise me. Personally, I want to see us in the NC against either Stanford or Oregon, preferably Oregon. It would be fun to see our offenses match up.

I don't see it. 1-loss Bama edged out a 1-loss Okie St. (helped by some downright shady pollster votes). I'll believe that a team of tOSU's calibre gets left out in the situation you describe when I see it.

At this point Oregon should play Baylor and they can just run up a NBA type score. I want Urban and the boys to end the whole SEC thing.

I don't want to see it, but the fact remains - The perception is that a 1 loss SEC champ and a 1 loss PAC-12 champ, will be seen as more worthy than an undefeated tOSU, based on schedule alone, by a lot of voters.

OSU may have a big enough name to stay ahead of a 1 loss SEC champ.

but that where the big advantage of being in the SEC comes from.

play a close game against Kentucky, and it's no big deal. Kentucky is on the rise with a new coach.
play a close game against Purdue, and you suck.

lose to an Ole Miss level school, and it's just because of how tough the SEC is.
lose to Minnesota, and you had no business being in the NC race anyway.

I think this is pretty close to accurate, except possibly the ONE of the above does not need to happen because it is okay to have one other team besides tOSU in the title game. Yes, reality is cruel.

Exactly, and the kentucky team gets a bump. No one benefited more from the ESPN hype then South Carolina which soared in the rankings with this formula.

If OSU gets left out, its because they don't deserve to be there. Until it actually happens, claims that OSU will be screwed by the polls are baseless and driven by fear not examples.
