2013 Preseason and regular polls

But isn't scoring more important? total is bend scoring is but not break

I'll decide when Oregon plays a competent offense. Don't get me wrong I'm sure the Ducks are a decent team but I'm not going to say that they are the best team in the country. At this point it's seems to be the typical smoke and mirrors to me. Tennessee isn't even in the top 100 on offense and Virginia ain't much better.

I don't think Oregon has figured out the issues they have against disruptive defensive lines. Stanford and fUCLA are going to be their toughest games by far.

I think LSU is better than Alabama. Blah blah blah 3 out of 4.....Bama isn't the same team they were 2 years ago or last year. I don't see why they get the free pass to be automatically ranked in the top 2.
I agree that LSU is probably better than Alabama, but winning the last two NCs is reasonable justification to continue to put them at the top IMO. I'm really looking forward to seeing Bama play LSU. But their schedule has to be, overall, the weakest of any of the contenders to play in the NC game ... at least, until the SEC championship game.

As far as Alabama goes i think beating Texas AM is good enough to put them at #1. Oregon does have the prolific offense but against not very good competition. Just like with every school I think once the schedule switches to conference opponents it will be easier to figure out who will really compete for the NC this year.

That's like saying Clemson is a top 3 team because they scraped out a victory at home against Georgia. That's some espin spin right there.

If Clemson wins out--with wins against UGA, usc, and FSU (assuming all of those teams live up to early hype), they'll deserve to be in the top 2. Same with LSU if they beat bama, aggy and UGA.

At the end of the day, I just can't help but wonder if they'll find a way to make sure a 1-loss SEC team gets in even if there are two undefeateds out of Ohio State, Clemson/FSU and Oregon/Stanford.

I'm not buying Oregon at all - remember OregonBuckeye Last year hyping them up? Especially their defense. USC hangs 50 on them that week and they get the brakes beat off by Stanford not long after.

Beating Wisconsin convincingly this weekend is gonna help us a lot.

Not in this guy's eyes.
