Actually - this might be Oregon's best team.
Let me clarify - that I think Mariotta is the best QB they've had in their 8-10 year run and they're in an excellent position to make a run at the BCS title.
Back to back to back games against UW, Wazzu and UCLA might be the best shot to get their 1 loss and send them to the Rose Bowl.
They have two weeks to prepare for Stanford, can't seem them dropping that one.

Speaking for myself, the fewer crappy bowls I watch, the happier I am. I don't really care what ESPiN is hyping up as their dream matchup and I'm disappointed that you two are falling for it.

Any defense with speed and a degree of discipline will shut down Oregon. Oregon was supposed to run roughshod all over us in the 2010 Rose Bowl, and we held them to 17 points and 260 yards of total offense.

I think that by the end of the season this defense won't be green anymore, and has the potential to be one of the best in the country. Having Cal score 34 points and rolling up 500 yards of total offense is a good wakeup call for the defense. If we shore up the secondary, the defense can be lights out...

You guys would have more success persuading the national media to write nice things about B1G football than you'll ever have convincing Mike80 he should change his opinion about something.

I wouldn't worry about scoring
I think tOSU wouldn't have problems with Oregon personally. They've done it once before, and this current team is just as qualified to do it again. I'm still not convinced Oregon can field a decent defense, so Braxton wouldn't have trouble scoring. As far as Oregon's offensive attack, if you're the more physical team, you can shut them down. I see no reason why the current team couldn't limit Oregon's offense. An Alabama/Oregon matchup wouldn't be much different imo, and I wouldn't want to see it.

The game might be good. Probably not, because the hyped bowls always turn out to be crap, but you never know. Although I also don't like to see or hear national media perform fellatio for the entire broadcast like what would happen if such a match-up were to occur. Different strokes I guess.
