the ad space is already bought.
I seriously doubt that.
Completely different topic of the tv deals having been brokered.
UCF isn't C-USA anymore.
They may as well be.
Anyway, we'll see how it plays out on Saturday.

Sorry, but this is just getting ignorant.
Nobody is going to have negotiated the fee for ad space before they even know the games. And the idea that "screwit we have playoffs next year, ratings don't matter!" is plain ridiculous.

...and that bid came into existence before the Big East lost every team with any value. That pre-apocalypse Big East also being the conference the Orange bowl divested itself of due to years of bad matchups. The Orange wants nothing to do with Big East (nee AAC) teams.UCF gets an auto bid because they are in the AAC or whatever.
The Orange will be Bama and UCF - UCF has to get in. If they didn't, it probably would be Clemson. In the end though, I think the Orange ends up taking them. Not because they want too, but because the other options available aren't good
UCF makes geographic sense
and you know the Orange bit the bullet with NIU last year -
If Ohio State somehow loses, they'll end up in the Sugar as well over Baylor/UCF.
The Fiesta gets the Big 12 champ (Okie State if they win, Texas if Okie State loses and they win/Baylor if Baylor wins and Okie State loses) and I think has last picks, so NIU will go here.
UCF is a BCS win away or two from being a monster (and maybe the SEC's 17th or 18th team).
Oh they are, it's just not called that now.

Exactly. That's because they had the last pick and had no other option. They're not going to screw themselves when they have the first selection. See that suggests you don't understand the selection order. The Orange bowl is not going to be forced to take UCF. It is the only bowl with options to pick a good matchup. It's not going to decide on a team that no one cares about.
Local teams are only preferable when they have an actual following. UCF doesn't If SDSU only had a single loss (to Ohio State) an won the MWC championship it would be ludicrous to suggest that the Rose Bowl would take them because they're local (if Sparty is not eligible).
Oh for fuck's sake.

I don't think Clemson will make it and history says if a team isn't in a conference championship game and loses their last game badly (and Clemson did) the BCS bowls will shy away from them (call it the Oklahoma effect).

So the Orange would select UCF over Ohio State? That is exactly what that would entail.
Yes NIU will most likely be the last team chosen, just like UCF is likely the second to last.
Oh for fuck's sake.
Beyond no proof for anything of the sort, isn't this all way off topic?
