2013 NCAA West Regional

From this point the Buckeyes need to play well to advance. Iowa State is not Iona so a so-so effort could add tOSU to the upset list.

Take care of business, Buckeyes. :)

ND made Iowa State look like they might be the 2nd or 3rd best team left in the West. Gonna be a tough game Sunday, don't like the 12:15 start time, either as this OSU team doesn't seem to play well that early in the day. Gotta force a hell of a lot more TOs than ND did.

Yeah, what's up with the two late teams Friday being the first game on Sunday? They get half a day less to prep than the other two teams playing in Dayton on Sunday.

The good news is Iowa St gets even 2 hours less.

Unlike Gonzaga and New Mex, Iowa St is a real basketball team.

Even before watching them last night, I thought the domers would have been a fairly easy win. I can't say the same thing about ISU. If the Buckeyes revert to that early season stretch of not taking things seriously, they will go home on Sunday.

Iowa State has not looked remotely as good in other games this season as they did against NoD. Nonetheless, this game won't be easy for the Buckeyes if the Cyclones bring their A-game. Fred Hoiberg is a terrific young coach, and he's made the most of a somewhat ragtag roster.

I would not take Iowa State lightly. I know that Notre Dame is nowhere close to Ohio State this season but the Cyclones can stretch a defense and let's remember that they gave Kansas all they could handle both times that they played them this season. They did not shoot the ball from three point land last night as well as they usually do. Ohio State will have their work cut out for them.
