2013 Boston Marathon Bombing... (merged)

This is more similar to the Olympic Park bombing at Atlanta '96 than it is to 9/11. The sporting backdrop lends some similarity as do the reports of they types of shrapnel being removed from victims. The casualty totals are similar too so far - hopefully the number of deaths doesn't climb any further from this. I also hope they find the bastard(s) who did this soon, and that the early stumbles in the Atlanta investigation don't end up being another similarity.

Five More Undetonated Bombs Found In Boston
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-15/five-more-undetonated-bombs-found-boston
In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon explosions, the WSJ is reporting that counterterrorism officials have found what they believe to be five additional, undetonated explosive devices around the Boston area. The devices - which are in addition to the two that exploded near the finish line of the marathon - were discovered over the course of a frantic inspection of suspicious packages. Each had been rendered inoperative or was in the process of being rendered inoperative.

UPDATE: *AT LEAST 3 PEOPLE HAVE DIED IN MARATHON BLASTS: BOSTON POLICE

Incredibly horrible situation. Thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by this cowardly act of violence against OUR innocent citizens.

Folks in "Beantown" are tough as heck and will get through this. And with the thoughts and prayers of THE Buckeye Nation we can hopefully give them some extra support during this incomprehensible time of tragedy and sorrow.

Peace on earth to the survivors in Boston. And may those who did not survive rest peacefully in Heaven.

In the photo of the guy missing his lower legs being taken out in a wheel chair, the man next to him in the cowboy hat (who appears to be stopping the bleeding from an exposed artery) is Carlos Arredondo.

Edit: Looks someone taped him later:

He's clearly still in shock.
