OSU has outscored 5 of their last 6 opponents in the second half by at least 9 points.

I do think it is odd how they start slow even against teams like Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern and Minnesota yet finish strong against all of them.

At times this team has been good enough to get your hopes up that they can actually compete for a championship; and at times they have been so bad that you think they may never win another game. And all of this can happen several times over in the same game.

Ummmmmm, wait, what??? When you say "there" program, are you referring to the Bucks? Or that program over there? How does Purdue get thrown in here? And have we become inept in football (or basketball) recruiting all of a sudden. That's news to me.

Other than that, solid post. I agree on all other points.

With our poor start in Big Ten play, I just wanted this team to make the tournament.

Looks like we're still O.K. in regards to that (knocking on wood), so at least the Buckeyes get a shot.

I keep reflecting if maybe an offensive coach (assistant) should be brought in to maybe change things, but curb this thought because you could have an offensive guru and look stupid without shooters. So we just integrate next year's class and start over. I trust Coach Matta.

It's looking like that soft nonconference schedule was actually about the right strength for this team. Just need more talent, they really have only one guy with a good amount of offensive skill and everyone else is a role player, and it's not working.
