Season totals: 121 of 235 for 1684 (.515) with 19 TDs and 7 ints.
vs. Cass Tech: 4 of 17 for 26 yards, 0-2
vs. St. Mary: 5-14 102, 0-0
in team's other loss, vs. Catholic Central, he was 14 of 26 for 121, 0-1.
first two games of the season vs. Pioneer, a 43-8 win, and Carman-Ainsworth, a 34-6 win (level of competition???) he was a combined 24 of 34, 390, 4-1. The rest of the year he was 97 of 201 (.483) for 1294, 15-6.
Like I said, I don't know anything about the level of completition, not to mention the offense his school runs. But these are the numbers.
Also, FWIW, rushing numbers: 74-150, 6 tds; also averaged almost 40 yards a punt.
I read some general discussion on Shane "the savior" Morris over on Mgoblog awhile back. It baffled me at the time how a kid with such minimal stats could be built up so much. One year starter that threw for 1600+ yards. His team lost to each of the three playoff teams they played, and he was supposedly mediocre in each case. The powers that be are in the process of bringing in a pair of stud recievers(2 brothers) for him for this coming season. His stats should be better. Morris' reputation has supposedly been made on the 7on 7 circuit. He reportedly has a big arm. The question will be can he do it with a D1 pass rush in his face. So far he hasn't done it even against mediocre competition. For whatever reasons there is definately an orchestrated effort behind this kid to promote him. Much more glitz than substance at this point. One thing that really could be a big concern to us buckeye fans is that if Morris puts as much work into his game as he puts into his twitter account he could turn out to be decent.
