Defense still wins Championships
Quite a bit of controversy brewing with the playoffs. Up until a few hours ago, this still was not resolved. Couldn't imagine preparing for a playoff game a few hours away and not knowing which opponent was going to get off the bus.

Thursday morning, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Richard McMonagle issued a temporary restraining order against the Ohio High School Athletic Association in a case involving a forfeit between John F. Kennedy and John Adams. The outcome of that game effected whether Mayfield or Cleveland Heights would receive the eighth and final playoff berth in Region 1, and whether Edgewood or Beachwood would get the last spot in Region 13.
Then shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, Judge Alfred Mackey of Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court ruled in favor of Edgewood, granting it a temporary restraining order that in effect ordered the OHSAA to revert to its original playoff configuration, which was released Sunday.

The Ohio high school football playoff mess is over, and the original brackets are restored. Ashtabula Edgewood will play at Brookfield tonight in a Division IV regional playoff game.
Mayfield will play St. Edward on Saturday at Byers Field at 1 p.m. That game time and site were changed Friday because the lights are not working at Lakewood Stadium.
