2012 Preseason and regular polls (official thread)

Is there any site out there that has a guess where Ohio State would be if they were allowed in the BCS? My guess is the computers wouldn't like them too much, and they only shot they would have is if Notre Dame lost.

Even with wins against Michigan and Nebraska again, I just see a one loss SEC champion getting the votes and computer rankings to be ahead of a 13-0 Ohio State. To me, that would be a lot more frustrating then what we have right now. Once we beat Michigan, I will be extremely happy with this season, especially if we end up as the only undefeated team in the country.

I am less worried about next year's lack of SOS, just because if we are sitting on a 25 game winning streak, we will be hard to not choose.

Predictions:

Stanford and USC beat Oregon
USC beats ND
Ole Miss beats Georgia
Seminoles beat Gators
Baylor beats K-State
Texas beats K-State

Standford beats Oregon: Done, checkmark, history.
Baylor beats K-State: Done, checkmark, history.

Standby for other predictions to come true (except I think I meant Oregon St beats Oregon and I think I meant Georgia Tech beats Georgia ... no one is perfect, except for tOSU football team).

Also, new prediction: Georgia beats Alabama.

Remember, you heard it hear first.

There is a potential [Mark May] storm for the BCS here..... I fear another all SEC BCS title game....

ND loses to USC

Oregon loses to Oregon State

Florida beats Florida State

who gets the nod at #2 in this scenario? Alabama/UGA would be #1.....Does Kansas State leap frog back up to #2 with a win over Texas or is Florida allowed into the national title game?

Also....

ND loses to USC

Oregon beats Oregon State but Stanford wins and Oregon doesnt go to the Pac 12 title game

Florida still beats FSU

who gets the nod at #2 here? Florida and Oregon would both be non conference champs, would the voters put Oregon ahead of Florida? or would Kstate jolt to #2 with a win over Texas and a Big 12 championship?

Computers have us Tied @ #4 with Kansas State with a .86

Averaged with our poll numbers(taking the ap twice) 1292/1500 we would get

(.8613*2+8.6)/3 bringing us to a score of .8609 which would put us at #4 behind Georgia.

These numbers aren't quite accurate because the numbers used in the actual bcs computer rankings basically don't have us there at all so some teams get bumped up spots in the computers.

With us factored in ND remains #1 across the board but in the computers numbers for #2 #3 and everyone below us, shift a bit

Florida stays #2 in the computers but drop from a .96 to a .93
Bama stays #3 but drops from .91 to .87

With our substituted AP numbers The top 4 would look like..

#1 ND .9733 (No Change)
#2 Bama .92 (-.0133)
#3 Georgia .8696 (-.0067)
#4 tOSU .8609

Obviously this doesn't account for how the poll numbers would change with us involved in the Harris or USA Today polls. Other than that though I believe I got the numbers right.

I said it last time, and I'll say it again. You're giving too much credit to Texas

As well as some people voting us lower due to our sanctions, so there is bias that way.
